F-Secure SENSE at Finland’s 2017 Housing Fair
It’s a well-known fact that Finland is known for cutting-edge and innovative design. Catering to the Finns’ affinity for aesthetics is the country’s annual Housing Fair event, which takes place during the region’s long, summer days that are cherished by both locals and visitors alike.
Finland’s annual Housing Fair showcases the ongoing and future trends in housing industry, such as architecture, interior design, and home technology. The Housing Fair is where housing developers, builders and home innovators can introduce their work to a large audience of both professional and private attendees.
This year, The Housing Fair has set out to explore the future of housing. F-Secure has partnered with Telia, one of the largest telecommunications providers in the Nordics, for the event. Telia is exhibiting their very own smart home, where visitors can interact with smart home devices and experience the future of connected technology firsthand. Inside Telia’s smart home is F-Secure SENSE, a smart security router that secures all of one’s connected devices. Learn more about F-Secure SENSE.
“We believe that every Finnish household could be a bit smarter so that everyday life would be easier, cozier and more secure. Smart homes will do the same for homes as smartphones did for phones,” says Telia’s Business Development Manager Kimmo Ahvenlampi. Read more about Telia’s smart home exhibition (in Finnish).
This year’s Housing Fair is held in Mikkeli, a Finnish city about 3 hours northeast of Helsinki. The event kicks off today and will be open until Sunday, August 13. The official theme of 2017 is “The effect of housing on the well-being of people”.
In addition to the main theme, this year’s month-long event also has week-specific themes, so there will be activities and lectures related to each week’s theme. “Future Week” will be taking place from July 31 until August 6, during which related topics will include smart home innovations and security.
