Blazing The Trail In IoT Security
This spring, we proudly launched our newest product, F-Secure SENSE. SENSE is the combination of a smart security router, an advanced security app and industry-leading cloud protection.
In short, this three-in-one device is our answer to data protection and online security in a modern, connected home. Brought to you by the people who created the world’s #1 protection technology, SENSE ensures that your devices are in good hands.
As the first hardware released by F-Secure, SENSE has proven to be a groundbreaking milestone for both its development team and the company as a whole.
So, who are the talented minds that have skillfully designed, developed and released F-Secure SENSE?
The SENSE development team is made up of people who are committed to ensuring the product’s success, especially as significant product updates are anticipated within the remainder of this year and beyond.

Because SENSE still remains as a relatively fresh project, we’ve had the chance to optimize the ways of working relating to the product. SENSE developers have myriad opportunities to work closely with its product management team, who works hand in hand with SENSE’s marketing and sales team.
Jose Cezar Ynion, Senior Software Engineer, describes what the journey of developing SENSE has been like for him. “I’ve been lucky enough to participate in building SENSE from the ground up. In the beginning, the team had to tackle different fronts: making the design aesthetically beautiful and technically superior, providing reliable firmware update, and ensuring great usability of the SENSE app.”
SENSE team members also get to enjoy unique perks, including getting their hands on the latest and greatest gadgets to test together with the product.
Ynion points out just what it is that makes the SENSE development team special. “The people I work with possess diverse skills and great versatility. We have the freedom to work with components that we’re passionate about, or alternatively, learn new ones.”
Summing things up, Ynion states what keeps him excited about coming to work in the mornings. “Usability testing, technical discussions and whiteboard visualization. I also enjoy end-of-sprint demos — it feels gratifying to see building blocks forming into shapes and being able to overcome barriers.”
